Description
Tempranillo From Merced, California... District 12, Merced Acres. This Spanish "Noble" grape is the dominant varietal used in Spanish Rioja production. While typically blended with other varieties (i.e. Grenache, Merlot, Cab Sauv) to improve color and acidity, California has seen a recent surge in single varietal wine production using this grape. May be aged for several years or enjoyed well when young. Ruby red in color, Tempranillo exhibits plum, berries, herb, leather and spanish olive.
